This is my 3rd sweet water ranch book and I've felt the same about all 3. Too much introspection, too much lack of communication, too many secrets, unrealistic plot. Possible spoiler: I was very annoyed that Palmer has a billion dollars and his sister works as waitress, editor, and on the ranch PLUS taking care of grandparents, and she is always tired with dark circles. Why didn't Palmer help her? why wasn't this even mentioned? I also get tired of "I'll talk to him (or her) later, but not now (when we have quiet time alone - let's do it in the worst way instead). I don't like the billion dollar plotline on any of these books. AND I totally was annoyed/frustrated with the lost phone and he has no phone numbers. Totally unrealistic! At times, I want to just delete from my kindle. BUT THEN, I somehow get into the story enough to finish it and find things I like about it. So, very strange to sometimes strongly dislike a book and sometimes find myself drawn in. I will try one more sweet water book. I looked at the reviews and grabbed one with the highest reviews. (Ford's story) If I find I am too annoyed by all the games and lack of communication I will stop reading this author. AGAIN, I can see that people might like the sweet story - if they ignore the things I mentioned. And lastly, although I read 3 books from this series, they are pretty forgettable. But, I think the author will find a niche for herself and please some readers. For the last eight years and 40 weeks, Louise carried around a secret, the identity of the father of the daughter she gave birth to on the night of her high school graduation. So what if she never went on a single date and missed her valedictorian speech. That was her life.Ty comes back to town for his best friend’s wedding. He receives a hero’s welcome, because of his status as a hockey star, from everyone, except Louise. She was the smartest girl that he ever knew, and she is still in their hometown, working as a waitress.Ty has a lot to answer for and a lot of questions of his own.This was truly a great read! I can’t wait to read more from this author.
